Road to Rumba

Directed, edited and produced 42min. music documentary on the streets of Cuba. Shot before the 'Buena Vista Social Club', "Road to Rhumba" meanders amongst Havana's Rumba musicians, street performers, and the sacred dances of the "orishas"(Gods of the Santaria religion).   Nov. 97

Sui Zen:
Shakuhachi Society.  A
700 year old story of the excommunicated Samarai Warriors journey from the Bamboo Forests of Japan to 21Century America.  Sui Zen or Breathing meditation with a bamboo flute, was the tool many denounced Samarai's used to transform their shame into a spiritual path that has continued until today.  Summer 98

Directed and produced underwater video dance performance in collaboration with Dancer, Calla Lachance. Performance included 16 of Toronto's local contact dancers and artists, including Allen & Karen Kaeja and John Oswald. June 97

Produced Video with CKLN radio journalist, Wayne Morris to request for a Presidential Hearing and Inquiry on mind control experiments, including taped statements by survivors of CIA funded human experimentation.

Shot various music videos including The Toronto Gamelan Summit highlighting the best groups in Indonesian Gamelan Music. Toronto. 1997

Dis
Directed and edited a highly kinetic experimental film featuring a 16mm bolex camera as it cuts, distorts, disintegrates, reconstructs and objectifies the body. A collaborative project with dancer and choreographers Lori McLean and Kelly Hargraves. Funded by the Ontario Arts Council. 95.

Screefer
Produced and edited 30 min film depicting a day in the life of Northern Ontario tree planters. Along with music and candid photography 'Screefer' documents a beauty and misery of working with trees. May 94.

Ash Monday, Independent

Produced and directed Promotional music video for various local Toronto Artists, including Rick Lazar's Montuno Police. 97

Marquesa
Collaborated with Jeff Ibsen and Wayne Morris (from S.C.W.) in producing soundtrack for Karen Young's Art/Documentary video portraying the Dominatrix scene in Toronto. 1996.

BRAVO!, City/Much/Bravo television network
Edited various ZOOM productions in conjunction with Bravo's AVID 8000 editing suite. 1996-98

Eat Your Heart Out Madame DeFarge,
Directed and produced video in collaboration with Janet Morton's textile installation, 'Eat Your Heart Out Madame Defarge', The video was displayed on Queen St., The Textile Museum, and reviewed in Toronto Arts Magazine. Project was funded by Ontario Arts Council. Mar.95.

Directed video of works of Gina Lori Riley and Judy Jarvis' choreography. Solo and duet performances. Mar. 93.

Mocojumbies,
Produced video for Gina Lori Riley's dance performance Mocojumbies. A Trinidadian folk tale performance with physically and mentally challenged children for the Conference of Exceptional Children.(C.E.C.) Nov. 93.

Experimental Filmmaking
Directed and produced 5 experimental films during  undergrad  studies at Concordia fIlm University,  including  "Serpentine  Things", "Lunatic Fringe", and "Rush Hour" Highly treated imagery on JK optical printer, produced in the tradition of  American Avant guarde filmmaking. 1988-1990
